About He just told them to report it to his github cause it's been mentioned a few times and something could currently be broken. Shadow's had it been reported on his discord a handful of times just from browsing. So dropping it onto a sharpness 5 with get you two sharpness 4 books for example.Īs far as I can tell from apotheosis's own guide book which appears in my own modpack it does not mention a chance to remove enchantments when dropped. Obliterating takes a singularly enchanted book, and when you an anvil with obliterating is dropped on it the enchantment book breaks it into two component enchantment books of a lower level. Unbreaking on the anvil just makes it have a lot less chance to damage the anvil when it's dropped and when working on it. One with sharpness, one with looting, one with unbreaking. Whack that book by dropping a splitting anvil on it, you'll get 3 books out of it. You want to rip off the looting and put it somewhere else. sometimes.įor example, you ripped the enchantments off a really nice loot sword and it had sharpness, looting and unbreaking. From experience in using it, 3 does it most of the time. The chance of doing that increases as the enchantment goes up in level, up to 3 normally, unless they've gone and tuned it down. Splitting when dropped via anvil onto book should shatter a book that has multiple enchants on it into multiple separate enchantments. You've likely got some kind of mod incompatibility which is changing what the anvil is converting into.ĭoes it retain something like unbreaking when dropped? cause if it loses all enchantments any time you drop it regardless if it hits a book you probably have a cross compatibility issue they haven't sussed out.
